Andrei Kasarda
Veterinarian
Dr. Kasarda’s passion for animal care began early, growing up on a local farm surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. His hands-on experience included raising and showing his own chickens at state fairs—an experience that helped shape his lifelong dedication to animal health and wellbeing. Today, he finds deep fulfillment in veterinary medicine, where he can support both pets and the people who love them. He is proud to serve his community as part of the team at Berwick Veterinary Care Center.
After graduating high school, Dr. Kasarda spent time traveling before enlisting in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked in biotechnical research, eventually relocating to Seattle to continue in the biotech field while pursuing his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He attended community college at night before earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. He went on to receive his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, completing his clinical training at the University of Illinois. Most recently, he earned a Master of Science degree from Drexel University.
Dr. Kasarda’s professional interests are broad and include dermatology, surgery, internal medicine, and reproduction. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys beekeeping, gardening, traveling, and cooking. He values spending time with his fiancé, their two cats, and the close-knit community he’s returned to in northeastern Pennsylvania.
As a veteran, Dr. Kasarda is especially honored to support fellow veterans in caring for their animal companions. He is also a strong advocate for public health through the One Health concept, promoting education and community involvement to enhance the lives of both animals and their owners.
